Can't recommend this enough ☺️
I have recently visited an office to offer Workplace Wellness Assessments for their staff- looking at posture, mobility and helping with ongoing niggles or pain.
It has really made me think about what our bodies do each day and what they really need. These are my thoughts;
☐ Take regular movement breaks- every hour stand up, move around, have a stretch.
☐ Make time for low impact, more mindful exercise like walking, Pilates, swimming.
☐ Add in some work with weights, just something every week that encourages strong bones
☐ Walk everyday. Simply getting outside is good for us, everyday.
☐ Stay hydrated and give your body less to do by keeping down the processed foods and things like caffeine and alcohol, and increasing the straightforward foods like fruit, vegetable, nuts, seeds, pulses, and simple proteins.
☐ Get someone to look at your alignment, your posture, your gait. Perhaps there are some things you could work on to help you feel more comfortable and reduce your chance of injury.
